He will now lead efforts to establish DishTV and Watcho as premier content platforms

MUMBAI:  DishTV India Ltd has appointed Sukhpreet Singh as its chief revenue officer with immediate effect, the company announced yesterday.

Singh, who previously served as corporate head of DishTV and Watcho OTT business since August 2019, will now lead efforts to establish DishTV and Watcho as premier content platforms across multiple screens and technologies.

With over 24 years of experience spanning consumer services, media and entertainment, pay TV, OTT and FMCG sectors, Singh brings extensive expertise in digital transformation and customer-centric service development to his new role.

Prior to joining DishTV in 2016, Singh held leadership positions at several prominent organisations, including director of marketing for consumer electronics at Samsung Electronics, vice-president of sales and marketing at Kansai Nerolac Paints, and general manager of brand marketing at Whirlpool Corp.

During his tenure at DishTV, Singh has been instrumental in transforming the company from a traditional pay TV service to a multiscreen entertainment provider with an expanded digital footprint. He spearheaded the launch of Watcho, the company's OTT streaming platform, and developed strategic alliances with television and mobile handset manufacturers, digital payment platforms, and OTT players.

Singh, who holds expertise across the Indian and south Asian markets, has been recognised with numerous industry accolades, including Digital Marketing Awards from IAMAI and a place among the top 50 most talented chief marketing officers by the CMO Council.
