    MUMBAI, 30th May 2013: In light of the recent drought conditions and unprecedented water scarcity across the country, 92.7 BIG FM launched a three month long Nationwide Water Conservation Awareness Drive titled ?Pani Bachao Life Banao? to galvanize national support from listeners and fight the crucial problem of water scarcity.

    Ghazal Maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali has joined hands with 92.7 BIG FM?s Mumbai station to extend his support to the vital campaign. Showing his concern for the condition in Maharashtra as it grapples with severe drought, the legendary singer visited the 92.7 BIG FM Studios with RJ Yamini to flag off Pani Bachao Life Banao. To extend his support to the campaign, Ustad Gulam Ali Khan donated a bucket of water at the event to encourage the citizens to take up the cause.

    As official radio partner, 92.7 BIG FM is partnering Ek Ehsaas - a music concert by the Ustad ? to help raise funds for its campaign. The proceeds from this concert will be distributed to all those areas that have been suffering from the present drought conditions in Maharashtra. In order to add more might to the campaign, the network has also tied up with the Kalashakti Dance Group and Silly Point Production; the organizations supported Pani Bachao Life Banao by doing a dance performance and class act respectively.

    The campaign seeks to shed light on important and vital facts related to the situation together with tips on water conservation starting with saving water at home to rainwater harvesting. The campaign will engage listeners across 30 stations of its network with multiple on-ground and on-air activities along with unique social and digital promotions. It will be promoted through partnerships with Mumbai-based NGOs that include FOCRE, YUVA and diehardindian.com apart from college-based NGOs such as Rotaract Club of H.R. College.

    Various celebrities from Bollywood such as Anupam Kher, Arjun Rampal, Sonam Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Neha Dhupia, and Ranbir Kapoor have pledged to support ?Pani Bachao Life Banao?.
