Mumbai: CNBC-TV18 is all set to air ?Bank of Dave?, the story of Dave Fishwick, on 3 November.

?Bank of Dave? will air on 3 November at 9.30 pm and 4 November at 8.30 pm.

According to the channel, Fishwick is a self-made, "straight-talking" millionaire from Burnley, England. In times of economic turmoil, banks turned their backs even on their most loyal customers. In an attempt to help his community in his hometown, he opens a simple, no-nonsense bank that actually cares about its customers, a bank that serves the people, which existing banks have turned down.

?Bank of Dave? is an informative series that charts Fishwick?s progress from his initial idea to making it all happen against a backdrop of red tape and a stringent regulatory framework.

Fishwick?s plan is to open an old fashioned bank and be a practical bank manager giving good rates to borrowers and savers alike. He wants to lend money to struggling local businesses that the banks don?t want to know.

Instead of bankers? bonuses, he plans for any profits to go to local charities. But with no prior banking experience, he soon discovers that this simple plan is not as straightforward as he thought it would be. It takes all David?s skill to allot loans and give advice to local businesses struggling in the current economic climate.

He aims to bring the ?Bank of Dave? into profit within 180 days. If he succeeds, he?ll give whatever he makes to charity. If he fails, he?ll make a terrible loss and ruin his hard-earned reputation as a successful businessman.

Launched on 25 August, International Inc., CNBC TV18?s new weekend programming band showcases the documentaries from around the world on lifestyle, travel, food, money and business.
