    They were joined by celebrities Sajid Khan, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur, Zarine Khan, Sameera Reddy, Subhash Ghai, Samir Soni, Darsheel Safary, Ekta Kapoor, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Vivian D?sena, Drashti Dhami, Anup Soni, Dilip Joshi, Giaa Manek, Ragini Khanna, Rakhi Sawant, Terence Lewis, Rajiv Laxman, Javed Ali, Neha Bhasin, Mauli Dave, Sushil Kumar, Gagan Narang and Yogeshwar Dutt.

    In addition to appearances by their favorite stars, and dazzling performances from Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Salman Khan, Parineeti Chopra and Sonu Nigam, Executive Producer Akash Sharma has also revealed that fans can expect to see hilarious comedy sketches starring Vicky Donor star Ayushmann Khurrana and Comedy Circus comedienne Bharti Singh throughout the show.

    As the only major awards show that lets you ?Voice Your Choice? across the year?s best in entertainment, PEOPLE?S CHOICE AWARDS in India also aims to entertain via a partnership with P&G?s Pantene. The partnership features a unique P&G makeover experience on PeoplesChoiceIndia.com where fans were able to upload their photos for a chance to ?Shine with the Stars?. The contest allowed two lucky fans to flaunt a glamorous makeover and be special onstage guests during the filming of People?s Choice Awards. The partnership with P&G will culminate on-air, through in-show integrations featuring talent who will reveal additional People?s Choice Award winners and interact with celebs in attendance.

    The People?s Choice Awards is spreading outside North America for the first time in its 39-year-old history, with a local version now completed in India. Via its license distribution partner Mark Burnett Prods., People?s Choice Awards franchise owner Procter & Gamble Entertainment has licensed the format to Bulldog Media and Entertainment in India.

    The People?s Choice Award 2012 winners are determined by the fans and the first ever show in India has logged millions of votes across 30 categories on PeoplesChoiceIndia.com and the official People?s Choice Awards Facebook app. Of the total response, 49 per cent has come from people living outside of India, making this democratic format truly of the people, for the people and by the people.

  • Gurmeet Choudhary wins Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

    MUMBAI: After 16 weeks of hard core dancing extravaganza, India has chosen Gurmeet Choudhary as the winner of COLORS dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa! Gurmeet a novice and stiff dancer wooed the audiences and judges with his macho moves and stylish grooves to become a dancer par excellence. His never say die attitude got him a lot of support from his fans and well-wishers that helped him bag the coveted title. Rashami Desai Sandhu and Rithvik Dhanjani were the first and second runners up respectively. Awarding the winner were our ever inspiring jury, the purrrrfect Madhuri Dixit; blockbuster director Karan Johar; and ace choreographer, Remo D?souza. The grand finale evening not only witnessed some breath taking acts from the three finalists, but also saw two legendary actresses Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi share stage which created an epic moment.

    Gurmeet Choudhary was the lone survivor who started his journey of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa from day one. Along with his talented Choreographer Shampa, he showcased some breathtaking performances like robotic hip hop, semi classical moves and international dance forms like Rumba and Paso Doble. The judges were impressed by his dedication, hard work & seamless energy. His performance graph was filled with highs and lows especially after his shoulder injury but under Shampa?s guidance, he bounced back as a fighter. Gurmeet walked away with prize money of Rs. 40 Lakhs and the title of the winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa!

    When asked, Gurmeet said, ?When I came to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I was just an actor but today, I can proudly say that I?m a good dancer too. I?d like to thank my wife Debina for her love & support. And most of all, I would like to thank all my fans and supporters who have stood by me through both the good and the bad times. I am where I am only because of them.?

    Mumbai: COLORS? flagship show Balika Vadhu celebrates its 1000th episode today and takes pride in celebrating this success in a grand way, adding more excitement to the storyline ahead! With Balika Vadhu touching the 1000 episode mark, India?s favourite show and the country?s most loved daughter ?Anandi?s? life takes a positive turn towards a much awaited beginning. The grand episode will see the introduction of Siddharth Shukla essaying the role of a collector and as Anandi?s new beendh. COLORS marks this milestone and celebratory moment by recognising a real life Anandi ? Lakshmi Sangara of Jodhpur who had the courage to annul her child marriage.

    Mumbai: COLORS launched a popular online show ?JayHind!?, under a new name - The Late Night Show. JayHind!, the first full-format TV show online, is a stand-up show with an element of dry humor.
