Aaj Tak’s executive editor Deepak Chaurasia quits
MUMBAI: Deepak Chaurasia, executive editor and anchor of TV Today’s Hindi news channel Aaj Tak, has put in his papers
MUMBAI: With so much activity going on in the news space, the Sabse Tez channel Aaj Tak has lined-up new properties; Dastak and Aaj Subah along with re-branding the existing properties from 9 May.
Dastak, being introduced evening primetime at 10 pm is a based on extensive analysis of the day?s top stories and cover the various perspectives in every news item. The name of the show is both a pun on the time as well as symbolic of the show?s attempt to open the doors to the biggest stories of the day for the viewers.
The show will have special guests and panel of experts to debate and analyse all major issues for Aaj Tak viewers. The programme will also have a special feature Khass Dastak, which will feature top three stories of the day in detail. The programme will be anchored by Aaj Tak?s leading hands - Poonya Prasoon Bajpai, Deepak Chaurasia, Ashutosh and Sumit Awasthi among others, informs an official release.

Aaj Subah, primetime morning show at 8 am to 10 am is a segmented into four power packed half an hour capsules. The show will set the news agenda for the day and will carry a brief on all the major impending news/events of the day and also recap the news of the previous day.
The show will have special segment called Khabrien Superfast, which will have 10 stories in last 5 mins of each half hour capsule. The programme will also have detailed weather report and special interviews.
In addition to these, Aaj Tak had recently introduced special show on news from Mumbai called Mumbai Metro and a movie show Movie Masala. The channel is also planning to introduce in coming weeks special news programmes like Desh Pardesh.
Mumbai Metro, a special programme which focuses on the financial capital of the country. From politics to sports, from business to crime it will capture all the developments from the Mumbai.
Movie Masala, it will focus on the favourite entertainment source for Indians- Movies. It will features film reviews, star interviews and gossips from the filmdom.
Desh Pardesh will national news and have a distinct focus on regional news. It will give a national perspective on day?s development in the key regions.
