    Mumbai: A+E Networks| TV18 has announced the promotion of Sangeetha Aiyer to vice president and head marketing.

    Aiyer was earlier GM-marketing for History TV18. In her new role, she will continue to report into A+E Networks|TV18 president Ajay Chacko.

    In her new role, Aiyer will oversee and supervise all the marketing verticals of the joint venture ? both consumer and trade in addition to providing strategic and marketing solutions for the channel History TV18.

    MUMBAI: A+E Networks|TV18 has elevated Sudheer K G to the post of vice president and head programming of its factual entertainment channel History TV18 with immediate effect. Till now he was vice president - programming for History TV18.

    In his new role, Sudheer will oversee and drive the programming strategy for the channel and will endeavour to create a superlative advantage for History TV18 in the competitive factual genre television space.

    He will report in to A+E Networks|TV18 programming head Ritu Kapur.

    A+E Networks|TV18 president Ajay Chacko said, "With a career spanning over 15 years, Sudheer, with his vast experience in programming, scheduling, acquisitions and production has taken History TV18 to new heights. He is key role to the channel delivering the best viewing experience to its audiences."

    Mumbai: History TV18 is launching its second local production ? Bollywood@100.

    Starting 8 March, the ten part series will be hosted by Karan Johar. He will enlighten viewers as he revives magnum opus moments and enlivens untold tales from behind-the-scenes of Indian cinema over the last 10 decades.

    Through Bollywood@100, History TV18 pays tribute to landmark movies, legendary actors and fascinating cinematic glories that shaped the personality of Bollywood over the years.

    The series uses Johar?s insider?s perspective in bringing out rare gems from Cinema handpicked through months of research.
    The series will showcase interesting anecdotes from Bollywood legends like Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Javed Akhtar to icons of the present-day ?Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, A R Rehman, Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra.

  • History TV18 to premiere 'Counting Cars' on 25 Feb

    Mumbai: History TV18 is launching a new show on restoring and trading of antique cars titled ?Counting Cars?.

    Premiering on 25 February, the show will air Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm.

    The show will feature Danny Koker and his team of car fanatics.

    Koker will grab the driving seat to take viewers on a ride with Counting Cars. Living up to his image as an enthusiast who breathes and lives for cars, whenever Koker spots a vehicle he wants; be it American muscle cars, Harleys, Thunderbirds or Corvettes, he goes to any extreme to obtain them.

    "Danny takes high stake risks and make on-the-spot offers with cold, hard cash. With the help of his talented team, the car aficionado transforms vehicles to boulevard gems and sells them fast. The more cars he picks, the more pressure mounts on him to sell these vehicles to remain in the black," the channel said.
