    Mumbai :India‘s most talented kids shone in Mumbai on Saturday at the eighth annual POGO Amazing Kids Awards 2011, India‘s first kids‘ television awards ceremony.

    Kids‘ favourite superhero -Chhota Bheem made a surprise performance at the event and the winners were felicitated by Monica Tata, General Manager, Entertainment Networks, South Asia, Turner International India.

    A POGO original production, POGO Amazing Kids Awards 2011 upheld the channel‘s tradition of discovering, recognizing and celebrating, the amazingly talented kids across India.

    It was no easy feat to select one winner from hundreds of candidates across India. Taking up this immense responsibility was a panel of eminent experts within each field. Icon Ayaz Memon judged the sports category, Ashley Lobo judged the dance category, Sukhwinder Singh judged the singing and musician category, Tathagat Tulsi judged the genius category and Vaibhav Kumaresh judged the artist category. The leader category was judged by Monica Tata and the entertainer category was judged by Rick Fernandes, Executive Director, Original Production & Development, Turner Broadcasting Systems, Asia Pacific.

    At the event, Monica Tata, General Manager, Entertainment Networks, South Asia, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd., said, "We are extremely excited and proud to announce the winners of the coveted POGO Amazing Kids Awards 2011.     MUMBAI: Mumbai kids were bowled over on Sunday as outstanding sportsmanship, fans? favourite toon stars and mega prizes all rolled together to make Cartoon Network?s Toon Cricket 2011 the biggest and coolest kids? event of the year.

    Presented in association with Cadbury at Chitrakoot, Andheri West in Mumbai, Toon Cricket - The Ultimate Eleven gave local kids a non-stop-fun experience with their number one superhero: Ben 10. And for the first time in Toon Cricket history, five kids chosen from a lucky draw will get an exclusive opportunity to join the Ultimate Eleven team, led by the iconic Ben 10, featuring on Cartoon Network.

  • Indian Kids to Feature as Journalists on POGO

    Delhi: India?s top junior journalists are set to show off their reporting skills on POGO after the channel announced the winners of the Dholakpur Breaking News contest. The cool correspondents will feature on POGO, relaying the latest news on their favourite superhero: Chhota Bheem from Dholakpur.

    The contest, conducted from July 25 to September 2, 2011 on POGO invited kids to send their own innovative endings to a series of fun situations and stories on Chhota Bheem; with the six most intriguing entrants scoring the scoop - a reporting role on the channel.

    POGO will air the special spots from November 21, 2011. In addition POGO will announce 30 runners-up during the airing of Chhota Bheem every Monday to Friday at 5:00 P.M. All these winners will receive iPod shuffles as prizes.
