MUMBAI: David Bishop has been named Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) president worldwide brand integration strategy.
His responsibility will involve integrating the MGM assets into SPE's worldwide operations. Reporting to SPE vice chairman Jeff Blake, Bishop who will based at SPE’s headquarters in Culver City, will oversee the integration of MGM assets across the various SPE worldwide distribution entities including the worldwide home entertainment, international theatrical and international television divisions.
He will also work with SPE senior management across the company’s various divisions to target and help coordinate the implementation of new business opportunities.
Blake said, "David Bishop is a highly respected entertainment executive with strong and innovative management experience in various areas of our business. He joins SPE as it enters an exciting new era characterised by technologies which have provided revolutionary new distribution streams for our products worldwide.

Subsequently, David’s strategic knowledge of content distribution and marketing will play a key role in maximising the potential of our broadened portfolio and in targeting areas of future opportunities for the company."
Prior to joining SPE, Bishop was with the MGM Home Entertainment Group for over 15 years. He recently served as president and COO.
