MUMBAI: Balaji Telefilms and Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication Pune-based institute (SIMC) are jointly launching a programme in television writing (fiction).
According to a media release, the two has teamed up to groom much-needed professionals for the rapidly growing television industry.
SIMC will offer an intensive two-month training programme, at Pune, covering a wide range of topics like screenplay writing, scenic design, television production, dialogue writing for television and film appreciation amongst others to aspirants, states the media release.
Balaji Telefims, the content provider has now tied up with SIMC to fulfill its requirements of professionally trained television fiction writers.
Balaji Telefilms is the fiction content provider for the Indian television industry and creates popular television programmes in a number of Indian languages, producing 21 serials which are aired on channels like Star Plus, Star One, Doordarshan, Sony Entertainment, Zee TV, Gemini, Surya, Udaya and others.
