MUMBAI: Interactive Television Networks (ITVN) which is an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service provider in the US has announced that it will carry MavTV.
The new network targets men ages 18-54 with male-oriented content. ITVN will offer the complete MavTV linear feed to its entire customer base, as well as, select titles on a pay per view basis. MavTV aims to be the destination channel for men by featuring programming that focusses on the topics that men gravitate to most, sports, gambling, fitness, money, gadgets, relationships and of course, women.
ITVN CEO Charles Prast says, "We are pleased to add MavTV to our growing list of niche entertainment channels. MavTV uses a tone men are comfortable with, like the way you talk to a friend when you're on the basketball court or hanging out at a bar. MavTV talks about the topics men are interested in, creating a TV network that men have been wanting for years."
MavTV's content includes The Dan Show - Las Vegas, Rajun Sexy Cajuns, American Tailgating and Heartland Poker Tour.
ITVN manufactures a low-cost, compact set-top-box that links the US home television to IPTV networks and services without the need for a personal computer. In addition, it is a provider of proprietary interactive content networks delivered to the television over home broadband. ITVN is aiming to make IPTV relevant to the everyday consumer by offering a growing number of niche-market networks while keeping the service affordable.
Current and future networks include movie channels, music channels, news channels, and many other options where the overall viewing environment is enhanced by interactivity.
