MUMBAI: Doordarshan has invited CD mastering firms to file a tender for its archives project.

The tender notice that appeared in the leading dailies, on 16 July, invites the eligible firms to bring out recordings of maestros in CDs/VCDs/DVDs formats.

DD's plans to replicate the recordings of performances of great masters in Indian music, dance and art. The plan behind getting the recordings in the CD format, is to bring in new generation to lead the project.

The bids are to be submitted in two parts as prescribed in the format. The details can be viewed on Doordarshan's website, www.ddindia.com under the subhead - Business on DD.

The last day of submitting the bids is 26 August 2004.
