MUMBAI: Here's the true picture of what's been happening at Sony Entertainment Television as far as that crucial resource in television is concerned: people. A couple of months ago there was a reshuffle at the top, following which Sunil Lulla, who had been given the responsibility of pushing the network's digital initiatives resigned.
Simultaneously, there was reorganisation at the second level too, details of which have just been clarified with indiantelevision.com.
Sneha Rajani has been promoted as senior vice-president, programming (Max) and acquisition for the network and would be reporting to Max business head Albert Almeida.
The other reshuffle that was effected was that of MAX programming head N Parasuram being promoted as vice-president projects.
After the corporate restructuring at the top management level, the professionals who would be reporting to SET India CEO Kunal Dasgupta include COO NP Singh, ad sales head Rohit Gupta, SET Asia executive vice president International business Rajan Singh (based out of London), general manager broadcasting Banu Veloo (based out of Singapore), CFO Nitin Nadkarni and general legal counsel Mukesh Bhavnani.
The professionals who are reporting into Singh include Sony business head and executive vice-president Tarun Katial, Max head Albert Almeida, vice-president human resources Anjani Kumar, vice-president on air promos Avinish Agarwal, vice-president post production Vivek Tiwari and assistant vice-president information technology Nitin Arora. Chief technology officer Anil Garg and assistant vice-president mobile telephony Kaushal Modi would also be reporting to the soft spoken Singh.
SET vice-president marketing and communications Tushar Shah would be reporting to Tarun Katial.
Singh would also be overseeing the portfolios of Sunil Lulla till the organisation finds a replacement for the former digital and licensing business head, who quit earlier this month to join the Times Group as chief executive news and business affairs channels.
