MUMBAI: Star has announced the appointment of Grace Gu as general manager of Channel [V] China. Gu will be replacing Scarlett Li, who has resigned for personal reasons.

Gu will assume day-to-day operational responsibility at Channel [V] China, and will be reporting directly to Star China president Jamie Davis.

"We are very pleased to have Grace join the company. Her experience and expertise in the media industry and in consumer marketing in China will contribute significantly to Channel [V]'s goal of localization. I am confident that under Grace's leadership, Channel [V] will continue to bring more innovative and quality content to our audience in China, said Davis in an official release.

Gu is a China television industry veteran with over 10 years of working experience at the Zhejiang Radio and Television Group. She also has extensive experience in marketing most recently with Elle in China, added the release.
