MUMBAI: As a mark to pay respect to his mentor and one of the country’s celebrated cinematographers Ashok Mehta, Arjun Rampal, along with his wife Mehr and journalist Khalid Mohammed, is set to roll out a documentary on him.
Rampal has reportedly said, "This is something that I wanted to do for him and I am doing it."
The documentary will be shot in Mumbai and will be around 90 minutes long.
The relations between Rampal and Mehta go back a long way. It was Mehta who gave the actor his first break in Bollywood with Mokshain, which he starred opposite Manisha Koirala.
Incidentally, Mehta was the director of photography in films like Shortkut The Con Is On, Meridian, God Tussi Great Ho, I See You, Family: Ties of Blood, No Entry, Kisna: The Warrior Poet Chalte Chalte, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Gaja Gamini among many others.
