MUMBAI: ZenithOptimedia India has been appointed as media planning and buying partner by Viber, a mobile app company.
The agency which is part of the Publicis Groupe won the business after a competitive multi-agency pitch process which saw five media agencies vying for it in New Delhi.

ZenithOptimedia, a global media services network, has 250 offices in 74 countries. In India, some of the agency's key clients include Nestle, Micromax, Olx, LVMH, Honda, Toshiba and Telenor.
Viber offers services like call, text, photo/location sharing, to any other Viber user, anywhere, from iPhone and Android phones. Viber's HD voice calls, delivered over 3G or Wi-Fi, offer better sound quality than carrier networks, claims the company. Viber currently has millions of users across India.
