MUMBAI: When everything you do, see, say means business! Broadcaster Zee has tied up with Frames 2005, which claims to be the largest convention in Asia for the entertainment industry. The event takes place in Mumbai from 4-6 April 2005.
Talking about the alliance Zee Telefilms chairman and MD Subhash Chandra said, "Frames has grown into a milestone event in the calendar of national and international industry events. It is our firm belief that the coming together of the Zee Network and FICCI will help in taking the Indian entertainment industry to the world. Frames is a great platform for interaction with media companies across the world. I earnestly look forward to a healthy interaction between participants at this forum."
What is unique this year is that there will be a change in format. There will be a segregation of sessions as per the discipline. There will be an animation track, a television track, as well as a film track.
Close to 125 speakers will address 1500 delegates from 20 countries. In the film segment key speakers include Barry Osbourne who won an Oscar for producing The Lord of the Rings and Motion Picture Association of America president and CEO Daniel Glickman.
At a meeting last evening, which served as a curtain raiser FICCI president Onkar S Kanwar reminisced about the first edition which had dealt with the corporatisation of the film industry. Since then the convention has moved on to a broad array of topics including animation, gaming. This time there will also be a session on China.
