MUMBAI: Adlabs-Reliance (The joint venture between Adlabs Cinema Group and Reliance Infocom) has acquired the overseas distribution rights of the upcoming Hrithik starrer Krrish produced by Rakesh Roshan's Filmkraft Productions.
Star India has already acquired the telecast rights of the big budget project.
According to a source, Adlabs-Reliance has acquired the rights for approximately Rs 90 million. Earlier, UTV had offered to buy the overseas rights of the movie for Rs 70 million.
Star India has paid in the region of Rs 70 million to obtain the telecast rights of Krrish. As already reported by indiantelevision.com, the network has worked out an exclusive alliance with Filmkraft Productions for the movie. The deal covers exclusive appearances of Hrithik Roshan, including a performance, in various shows on the Star Network, global satellite distribution for the movie, in-movie placement, premieres of the movie in India and international markets and promotional rights. Krrish is due for for an early 2006 release
