MUMBAI: HBO US has announced that production has begun on the new comedy series The Entourage. The show will start airing in the US in July.

The show's executive producer is Mark Wahlberg. The show takes a light hearted look at the mechanisations of Hollywood. The centre of the story is a young star and his buddies. All of them dream of making it big.

Actor Adrian Grenier plays the lead character Vince a sexy young movie star whose career is just taking off. Slipping easily into stardom, Vince looks to his friends from his Queens neighbourhood to share the fun of the ride and keep him grounded.

The pilot episode is being directed by David Frankel who was in the past involved with HBOs Band of Brothers and Sex and the City.
