Four television artistes were among those from the film industry felicitated by the Cine and TV Artistes' Association at its 43 rd annual general meeting held on Sunday.

Kanwaljeet Singh, best known for his portrayal of the promiscuous husband in Neena Gupta's Saans and Bharat Kapoor who played the gentleman friend to Gupta in the same serial, were both awarded the CINTAA trophy for excellence in the field.Asha Sharma and Savita Bajaj, veterans of Indian television, were also felicitated on the occasion.

The association also honoured Asha Bhonsle for the Dadasaheb Phalke award conferred on her recently, and Lata Mangeshkar for being awarded the Bharat Ratna. Raveena Tandon, who won the best actress national award for 'Daman' and Anil Kapoor, who also won a national award for 'Pukar' were also felicitated.
