MUMBAI: BBC World has signed an agreement to supply bilingual news for broadcast on China Airlines flights. The flag carrier for Taiwan travels to 40 destinations in 20 countries.
From 1 June, BBC World news will provide passengers with bulletins from the BBC newsroom, the first time an airline has delivered news with both English and Japanese soundtracks, a company release says.
Bill Mould, head of travel distribution, BBC World, was quoted as saying: "More than ever in these changing times, our viewers want to stay in touch while they're on the move and this fits in with our strategy to be a major player in the world's travel business."
