MUMBAI: Doordarshan will telecast Kiran - a five minute spot on public service issues - from 25 April. The programme will be telecast from Monday to Friday at 2 pm on the national network DD-1.

Each spot will feature individuals who dared to look beyond themselves. The show was was earlier telecast on DD from 1999 to 2002. Kiran is also adapted into a book, informs an official release.

Kiran has been produced by NET and directed by Umesh Aggarwal.
