MUMBAI: Hungama TV's Captain Hunt 2005 Mumbai auditions, which were held on 20 August at Poddar International School and on 21 August at Ryan International School, saw 10 kids being selected from Mumbai. Kick started last year, the hunt saw an over-whelming response across major cities and on similar grounds this year. The Hungama TV Captains' Hunt will evaluate the kids on parameters beyond the realm of academics - similar to the way creativity; articulation, out-of-the-box thinking and teamwork formed the basis of the judging criteria at the last year’s auditions. What the winners get is something phenomenal - they win the opportunity to run the channel with their inputs and suggestions heavily incorporated. They will also be the face of Hungama TV and have opportunities to appear on-air. The Captains of the first year were significantly responsible for the phenomenal success of the channel, providing key inputs on programming and promotion. Hungama TV programming head Zarina Mehta said, "Today Indian kids are growing to be confident, spirited, creative, witty and are very clear about what ‘enjoyment’ and ‘fun’ mean to them. Hungama TV is proud to once again give them the opportunity to create their own brand of entertainment. We value their suggestions since they know best what works for them." The hunt across major cities is currently on to select seven kids from across India to be part of Hungama TV’s advisory board and to be the faces of the channel. |
