MUMBAI: Toon Disney is celebrating Donald Duck's birthday on 9 June with much pomp and aplomb.
The channel will air a six-hour Quack Pack Marathon from 10 am to 4 pm, starring Donald Duck as a cameraman for a TV show along with star reporter Daisy Duck.
Quack Pack will capture the essence of all that is Donald, a duck with a good heart who almost always has good intentions and a life filled with difficult and sometimes impossible situations.
Following the fun and mischief from Disney’s Ducktales in the 1980s, Quack Pack continues the adventures of Donald and his wild teenaged nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie that keep him dangerously close to ‘quacking up’ with practical jokes and incessant trouble-making.
Currently operating from their home base in Duckberg, Donald Duck and crew are on the move in their mobile TV van, visiting far-flung locales in search of compelling stories for their show, What in the World.
Donald Duck, a part of the ‘Fab 5’ team including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Pluto, debuted in 1930s in the Silly Symphony cartoon The Wise Little Hen, and has since endeared millions of hearts around the world. The Quacker’s Party on Toon Disney will have an eclectic mix of Mighty Ducks, Duck Tales, Disney’s House of Mouse and Mickey Mouse & Friends featuring Donald Duck.
