MUMBAI: Uk pubcaster the BBC has relaunched its television site www.bbc.co.uk/tv site, as it moves towards showcasing its TV programmes on the web.
The new site will offer users the opportunity to watch web previews of upcoming programmes, such as BBC Four's The Thick of It and BBC Three's Nighty Night, as well as interactive programmes which were previously only available under the red button.
In addition, users will be able to watch catch-up clips of Top of The Pops and EastEnders, previews of seasons like The Lost Decade and clips from classic shows like Doctor Who. BBC head of interactive programming Emma Somerville said, "I am absolutely delighted with the result - the new website is design to give users the best TV-related experience to be found on bbc.co.uk. This brings us closer to the day when we can offer our viewers the choice of which platform they would like to watch their favourite programme on."
Through the simple and easy site, users can access all BBC programmes and web pages, as well as full listings and information about digital TV, the licence fee, audience tickets and BBC tours. BBC TV clips and programmes are currently available to watch only for UK users.
