MUMBAI: The BBC has acquired UK broadcast rights for the historical drama mini-series Into the West. Steven Spielberg is the executive producer of the series which debuted on Turner Network Television (TNT) on 10 June.
The series, co-produced by TNT and DreamWorks Television, will air on BBC2 next year.
Into The West covers the period 1825-92 and the different experiences of two families - one Virginians and the other plain-dwelling Native Americans. The show stars Matthew Settle, Tonantizin Carmelo, Skeet Ulrich, Beau Bridges, Josh Brolin, Keri Russell, Sean Astin and Gary Busey.
