MUMBAI: Business television network CNBC has signed up with Malaysia's Celcom to become its third generation (3G) mobile content distributors in Malasia.
With the deal, CNBC gains access to the fastly-growing 3G mobile subscriber population across the Asia Pacific. The company already has entered into deals with SmarTone-Vodafone in Hong Kong and SingTel in Singapore for 3G mobile content distribution.
Celcom's chief operating officer Datuk Zubir A. Rasid, said, "Celcom is proud to offer CNBC's content to its 3G subscribers. As we boast the widest mobile broadband 3G coverage in the country, we are confident that CNBC's selection of customized 3G content will be well-received across Malaysia."
