MUMBAI: The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) has invited entries for the second ABU/CASBAA UNICEF Child Rights Award.
The Award was established last year to recognise the significant influence that television and broadcasters in particular have in shaping children's social and emotional development, through the production of top quality programming and good news coverage of children's issues.
Last year's award was a big success with over 60 entries from broadcasters and countries throughout the Asia-Pacific, claims CASBAA. The award is open to television programming either for or about children, produced in the Asia-Pacific. Programmes must have been broadcast between August 2001 and August 2002. Entries have to reach CASBAA by 31 August. More details about the awards can be had from www.casbaa.com.
