SINGAPORE:MTV has reaped a rich harvest of awards this year. In addition to clinching several prominent awards in the region, it recently bagged four awards at the Asian Television Awards held on 4 December. MTV Networks Asia nabbed the highly coveted Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year, Best Entertainment Special, Best Entertainment Programme and Best Light Entertainment Presenter/Performer categories.
he company also scored nine wins, four Golds and five Silvers at the PROMAX & BDA Awards held a day before on 3 December.

MTV Asia Awards 2002 Best Entertainment Special A two-and-a-half-hour live-televised show hosted by young international stars Mandy Moore and Ronan Keating was based on the first regional MTV Asia Awards held in Singapore in February 2002. It attracted an attendance of over 7,000 people, bringing together the largest gathering of local and international talent ever seen in Asia. Executive producer, David Flack, produced the Awards show.

Best Entertainment Programme
Shot in Singapore during Travis' Asia tour in July 2001 at the Singapore Repertory Theatre, the 29-minute show is part of a series featuring live performances of artists playing in Asia. The feel is raw and close up, creating an honest portrayal of the artists' music and talent. Live performances are interspersed with band members talking about their music.
