MUMBAI: The inaugural NDTV Marathi Entertainment Awards 2025 unfolded in spectacular fashion, celebrating the finest talents in Marathi cinema, television, and OTT. Bringing together industry stalwarts, emerging artists, and creative visionaries, the prestigious event recognised outstanding contributions across multiple storytelling platforms.
Paani clinched the coveted Best Film award, while Adinath M Kothare was named best director for his compelling vision. Expressing gratitude, he stated, “Paani is a very important film for me, and I am overwhelmed that it has been recognised at this prestigious platform.”
Riteish Deshmukh, who played a key role in launching NDTV Marathi, was crowned Entertainer of the year 2025. Acknowledging the honour, he stated, “These awards inspire us to push our craft further.”
Veteran actor Ashok Saraf received a standing ovation as he accepted the Legendary Marathi Star award. Reflecting on the honour, he stated, “Being recognised in the very first year of these awards makes this moment truly special.”
Gashmeer Mahajani and Prajakta Mali triumphed in the best actor and best actress (Leading Role) categories for their captivating performances in Phullwanti.
On the television and digital front, Lampan (Sony LIV) won Best Series, while Manvat Murders stars Makarand Anaspure and Sonali Kulkarni were named best actor and best actress in a Series, respectively.
Dharmaveer 2 secured Best Film (Critics), with Prasad Oak (Dharmaveer 2) and Rajshri Deshpande (Satyashodhak) winning best actor and best actress (Critics) for their powerful portrayals.
With a grand debut, the NDTV Marathi Entertainment Awards 2025 has set a new standard for recognising artistic excellence, promising to be a defining platform for years to come.
