MUMBAI: Cesar Diaz has been promoted to the position of vice-president of International Sales of Venevision International, becoming the head of the TV programming distribution operation of the entertainment company of the Cisneros Group.
Cesar Diaz, who was vice president regional sales for Venevision International, is a veteran of Venevision International as he previously worked for the company from 1987 to 1996 also in international sales.
During his five year absence, from June 1997 to April 2002, Diaz was GM of Telefe International, the distribution company for Telefe, Argentina's top rated television network, states an official release.
"I am sure that our clients and relationships will be happy with Cesar's new position. His expertise and knowledge of the industry and his personal qualities will be beneficial for the business. In his former position -added the high executive- Cesar has been responsible for many strategic alliances for Venevision International, showing foresight and strategic vision. He has been instrumental, as well, in the closing of many important deals and we are sure this new challenge represents professional and personal growth for him," said Venevision International president and CEO Luis Villanueva.
Venevision International is an entertainment company part of the Cisneros Group, with more than 30 years in the market and its projects are inserted in the business development strategy designed by Gustavo Cisneros, president of the board of directors of the Cisneros Group of Companies. Venevision International distributes television programs throughout the world and is one of the largest producers of independent television programs in Spanish. The company also distributes films in Spanish for theater, pay-per-view, home video, paid and open television in the United States, adds the release.
