MUMBAI: Hungama TV COO Purnendu Bose will be joining SaharaOne as COO Television. Karuna Samtani moves on to handle other activities in the SaharaOne Entertainment network.

Bose will be joining from 1 April and was with UTV since 2003. He put in his papers yesterday (9 March).
 

Just five months after taking over as SaharaOne Television COO, Samtani will now be moving into other arenas of Sahara One Entertainment. "She will be handling other activities in the Sahara One entertainment," says Sahara India Entertainment Management COO Peter Isaac.
 
 

Bose was earlier Star TV vice president special projects and was also actively associated with the launch of Radio City and Star News. After a four year stint with Star, he had moved to UTV.

Samtani, who joined Sahara One as COO in September 2004, was one of the key members of the joint venture formed between Sahara and Percept to handle Sahara's entertainment businesses. She was incharge of SaharaOne Television.

Samtani, who has a wide range of experience in the media industry was earlier with Zee Telefilms Ltd, Nimbus Communication Ltd., Pratham Media entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and also advertising agencies like Contract, Hindustan Thompson, Enterprise Nexus and Ambience Advertising.

At Sahara One, she was instrumental in launching the latest live interactive show - Dial One and Win, which is hosted by Mandira Bedi.
