NEW DELHI: MAX is all set to launch Jung World Cup Ki, in the immediate run-up to the clash of the titans in South Africa.
This new show from the NDTV stable will be hosted by NDTV political editor and news anchor, Rajdeep Sardesai, and launches on 3 February as a daily one-hour programme. The concluding episode (number six) in this short series will be a two-hour special and airs 8 February, the opening day ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003.
The show, which promises to be highly interactive, will have three panelists in all - two former cricketers, a Bollywood personality / sports journalist - who will discuss various aspects of the game.
The programme is slated to be an ideal mix of Big Fight, We The People and Hotline (all shows that air on Star News) and will cater to a diverse audience, confirms a senior industry professional.
For those serious about cricket, there will be discussions on the batting order, the combination and so on and for those in this more for the glamour, Bollywood stars giving their views and comments on the show are supposed to provide it all.
Interestingly, Star News (for which NDTV provides all the content) too, has readied a show called Turning Point centred around the World Cup. It will air 9 February onwards and will primarily assess the turning point of the day's game and provide a daily analysis to the viewers. The show will be in both Hindi and English.
