MUMBAI: While the local counter part is yet to unviel its festive plans, Zee Network UK has planned elaborate celebration inclusive of write story here Bollywood Blockbusters, live concerts and special festive programming for the coming weeks.
As a countdown for the new year, Zee Networks Entertaiment and Movie arms, Zee TV and Zee Cinema have lined up more than 40 blockbuster films. The movies are scheduled to air throughout the day during the holiday season from 20 December 2003 to 1 January 2004, says a company release.
The line up of the films include the year's super hit Chalte Chalte, which will air on 27 December, the ever green Sholay on 31Dec, Shakti- The Power, Biwi No.1, Pukar, Hera Pheri and Darna Mana Hai.
According to Zee Network (UK), head of programming, Pranab Kapadia, "We have always believed in giving our viewers the very best in entertainment. These films which have been chosen have drama, comedy, action, etc.In short, they will have catered to people of all ages."
Besides the movie line up, the UK network has slotted 10 concerts in the same period which includes Heartthrobs -Hritikh Roashan's first show abroad- Lata Mangeshkar-live in concert, A.R Rehman -live in concert and others.
That apart, Zee Network has also lined up a special interview with actor Paresh Rawal in the Heart to Heart series. The interview comes in an apt time, since the actors play sponsored by Zee Network Naughty@Forty is doing rounds of UK's Theatre circuits. The well known actor talks about his career, Bollywood, his love for the stage, his fans and a lot more, adds the release.
