Bringing in a new trend , the story revolves around love, tradition, family values and a load of other emotions in the serial which is from K. Balachandar’s stable Minbimbangal. A full-fledged love story is being attempted for the first time on Tamil television, informs an official release. This is the story of Janaki and Sakthivel; Janaki is a middle class Brahmin girl; her father wants her daughter to become an IAS officer. She meets Sakthivel a Devar boy by accident. Sakthivel falls in love with Janaki and she reciprocates. |
Their love intensifies as time progresses. The love of Sakthivel and Janaki is not welcome by their parents. Obstacles come one after the other for the lovers, but do they overcome all the hurdles and unite in life. Sakthivel’s family lives in a village with his father Ayyadurai. His family is different from the others in village; the reason is Ayyadurai’s family has been one big family constituting nearly 45 members of all age group ranging from 4-month-old infant to 79-year-old granny and they have been like this for the past so many decades. But Sakthivel’s love with Janaki has repercussions on the family; the whole concept of ‘joint family’ is under threat. Ayyadurai faces numerous problems, which he has never even dreamt of.
