MUMBAI: One of the biggest cricket events for this year- the India Pakistan series kicked of today 8 March. The Asian Television Network (ATN) has announced that it has won the Canadian rights for the series.
The sublicensing rights include all forms of television broadcasting including theatrical and Pay-Per-View (PPV). The rights were acquired from Sony, which had wrested the international cricket telecast rights (for all countries except the Indian territory) for the upcoming Indo-Pak series.
Current ATN subscribers can see these games live at no extra cost on several cable systems and Bell ExpressVu and Star Choice across Canada. ATN plans to launch the one day internationals on PPV.
ATN owns and operates five digital television specialty channels across Canada and is a publicly traded company.
