LOS ANGELES: Lisa Klein Fitzpatrick has been promoted to senior VP, business and legal Affairs for MGM Worldwide Television Distribution. The announcement was made by MGM TV distribution president Jim Griffiths.
Fitzpatrick will report to Griffiths and to MGM's senior executive VP and General Counsel Jay Rakow. She will continue to run the business and legal affairs department, overseeing domestic and international agreements for the TV distribution division's acquisitions and distribution, carriage and joint ventures.
Griffiths said, "For the past three years, Lisa has proved herself a keen negotiator who always keeps MGM's best interests front and center. Her talent has contributed significantly to the growth of our business throughout the world."
An official release informs that Fitzpatrick joined MGM Worldwide Television Distribution in June 2000 serving most recently as Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs. Before joining MGM, Fitzpatrick was VP, business and legal affairs at Telemundo Network Group and Director, Business and Legal Affairs at Polygram Television.
MGM Worldwide Television Distribution handles global distribution of film and television product as well as co-productions for MGM Studios. Through the distribution division, about 4,000 feature films and 10,100 television episodes are available to the global television market. The company also distributes programming produced by NBC Enterprises in all territories outside North America, including Boomtown, (airs in India on AXN) American Dreams and Hidden Hills, as well as Las Vegas, Will & Grace (airs in India on Zee English), Crossing Jordan, Providence and Profiler.
