MUMBAI: The Viral Fever (TVF) has raised fresh funds of close to $5 mn from New York-based Tiger Global Management, showed regulatory filings.
“Filings indicate that Tiger Global is investing $5 million in TVF’s Series D round. Our estimate is TVF’s valuation is $82 million post this round, not accounting for new Series D participants," said Vivek data intelligence platform paper.vc founder Vivek Durai as quoted by Mint.
Paper.vc which tracks the startup funding also added that TVF’s post-round valuation grew by at least 13.8 per cent in the new round to $82 million. But it is not sure yet if the content platform will raise money from other investors.
TVF, which started out as an YouTube channel targeting youth audience, later built its own website and app as well. The Kota Factory, Pitchers, Permanent Roommates, Tripling are among the shows made by the platform which created good noise in market.
