    MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo is exploring the passion of owning and admiring exotic cars with its host, Barry Meguiar , in a 13-part series called Car Crazy Central.

    In the show that premieres on 28 January at 8 pm, Barry Meguiar travels around the world seeking world?s greatest automobiles, automotive events and exploring personal stories of people who have turned the passion for cars into amazing car collections.

    The new series features creations from low rides and muscle cars to classics and hot rods, as well as imports and performance cars creating an array of stunning hot wheels.

    Car Crazy Central also highlights the emotional attachment people have with their cars. It celebrates this obsession with the four -wheeled metallic beauties and gives updates on the latest events and interviews with who?s who of the automotive world.

    MUMBAI: Truck expert Robb Mariani will feature on Discovery Turbo?s new show ?American Trucker?, as he hitches a ride to talk about this highly demanding profession. He unveils some of the most iconic trucks, the famous routes they followed, and the cargo missions that made history.

    The show kicks off on 11 January at 9 pm.

    Discovery Turbo?s new series American Trucker will showcase big rigs and people who drive them. Trucking enthusiast Mariani takes viewers on a journey across the US into the world of the American Trucker. He spends endless days driving amidst mind-boggling traffic, dangerous roads and difficult deadlines.

    Viewers will hear firsthand from the truckers about this intriguing job and lifestyle, as they navigate dangerous routes and face the many challenges on the road to deliver their cargo to untold destinations. Mariani visits factories that manufacture large size heavy haulers, rides with "push rigs? - the heavy trucks that help trucks stranded by snow and ice, drives a truck with a traveling carnival, and showcases best custom rig shops and their decked-out rides.

    MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo, the channel dedicated to speed, brings a new reality series, ?Wrecked?, featuring the employees of one of the biggest towing services as they deal with accidents, flipped big rigs, and cars out of control during ice storms, rain and other nasty weather. The series highlights the strong men and women of the industry and the dangers they face daily.

    Bill runs O?Hare Towing with his wife Marci and his brother Joey, a fleet of high tech trucks and a team of dedicated drivers who risk their lives every day, ready to respond at a moment?s notice to the next big wreck.

    The show kicks off on 22 December at 10 pm on Discovery Turbo.

    ?Wrecked? aims to offer a new perspective about vehicles that are no more than mangled heaps, ready for the crusher. How did they end up like that? Is there hope for salvation and a chance to return to the road?

    The series is set in Chicago, which is one of the US? busiest transportation hubs with over 60 million tons and 17 billion dollars worth of cargo passing through every year. Its streets are teaming with tractor trailers but some of these massive trucks wind up staying longer than expected.

    Each year in the windy city, a quarter of a million vehicles get caught up in crashes, on average that is over 300 accidents a day, jam-packed freeways and difficult driving conditions make Chicago one tough city to navigate. Accidents happen. Cleaning up the mess is not for the faint-hearted. The crew of O?Hare Towing shows viewers the untold side of this dangerous business as they put their lives on the double yellow line.

    MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo will kick off a car makeover show Fine Tuned on 28 November 2011. The automotive makeover series will air every Monday at 10 pm.

    This series is a race against the clock to transform ordinary stock car vehicles into high-tech, one-of-a-kind show cars, all within seven days.

    The show will convert aged and haggard looking cars into awe - inspiring cars. The team modifies every part of the car and customizes it keeping in mind the personality and wishes of the car owner.

    It will be hosted by American actor and model Tyson Beckford.

    The show builds cars with unique customisations, from re-designing the exteriors of these vehicles to working under the hood to create powerful, high-performance engines capable of taking on Porches, Ferraris and Maseratis. New features like superchargers, progressive nitrous units, EDFC and tailor made interiors and among others are added to the car.

    Professionals have a time limit of seven days to transform ordinary cars into speedy turbo.

    With camera work, mechanics and a soundtrack the show carefully showcases the complete makeover process from beginning to end where the owner on the vehicle is presented with his car

    In the first episode 20 year old college student Steven Norris? car, a Nissan 350Z gets picked up to get ?Fine Tuned?.

  • Discovery Turbo to telecast Air Dogs at 9.30 pm on Tuesdays

    MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo will air Captain Robert J. Reichert and filmmaker Mark Miller?s high-octane aviation adventure, Air Dogs, every Tuesday at 9.30 pm.

    The series has Reichert and Miller in a daring quest to fly the fastest, the oldest and most unusual planes in each episode of the series taking their love of aviation to the next level - sweet-talking their way into the cockpit of their dream aircraft, all in an attempt to get behind the stick and take the controls during flight.

    As one of the best aerospace engineering test pilots for NATO, Reichert?s flying experience ranges from combat flights in the Gulf War to the most dangerous job in aviation: the lead solo position with the Snowbirds.

    Known as a renegade pilot who has had several near misses, Reichert ?s love of flying propels him to pilot just about any aircraft he can fly. While his partner may have clocked over 10,000 hours in the air, his experience is not quite as extensive.

    Each episode of the series follows the Air Dogs as they push their personal limits to fly aircraft ranging from a vintage World War II bomber to a CF-18. They fly loops and perform other air-show-worthy stunts.

    MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo will kick off a reality series, I Could Do That!, on 6 September.

    The 13-episode series will air every Tuesday at 9 pm.

    Hosted by Chris Nelson, the show gives viewers a chance to join as participants who go through a 7-day boot camp before finally taking a plunge to operate mechanical monsters. They get a chance to control and operate some big and dangerous machines like monster trucks, cranes, freighters, locomotives, combine harvesters, hovercrafts and even military tanks.
