MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo, the channel dedicated to speed, brings a new reality series, ?Wrecked?, featuring the employees of one of the biggest towing services as they deal with accidents, flipped big rigs, and cars out of control during ice storms, rain and other nasty weather. The series highlights the strong men and women of the industry and the dangers they face daily.
Bill runs O?Hare Towing with his wife Marci and his brother Joey, a fleet of high tech trucks and a team of dedicated drivers who risk their lives every day, ready to respond at a moment?s notice to the next big wreck.
The show kicks off on 22 December at 10 pm on Discovery Turbo.
?Wrecked? aims to offer a new perspective about vehicles that are no more than mangled heaps, ready for the crusher. How did they end up like that? Is there hope for salvation and a chance to return to the road?
The series is set in Chicago, which is one of the US? busiest transportation hubs with over 60 million tons and 17 billion dollars worth of cargo passing through every year. Its streets are teaming with tractor trailers but some of these massive trucks wind up staying longer than expected.
Each year in the windy city, a quarter of a million vehicles get caught up in crashes, on average that is over 300 accidents a day, jam-packed freeways and difficult driving conditions make Chicago one tough city to navigate. Accidents happen. Cleaning up the mess is not for the faint-hearted. The crew of O?Hare Towing shows viewers the untold side of this dangerous business as they put their lives on the double yellow line.
