MUMBAI: Walt Disney India has appointed Subhasis Mishra as the India human resources manager. Disney India's managing director Rajat Jain made this announcement in an official communique.

According to the communique, Mishra will manage the HR function for all Disney lines of business in India, including consumer products, home video, publishing, television and new business ventures.

"As the Walt Disney company transcends to the next level of business expansion in the Indian market, Subhasis's experience will be crucial to the creation of the diverse talent pool required to deal with the ever-changing demands of the entertainment and allied businesses," says Jain.

"His expertise will also help set up a strong foundation essential for the start up phase while ensuring the integration of the India team with the larger Walt Disney organisational culture." he added.

Mishra has experience in multiple areas of HR across industries like broadcast, financial services and pharmaceuticals. His last assignment was with the corporate HR function at Star India Pvt Ltd, where he was responsible for recruitment, compensation management, performance reviews and other related areas like learning and executive development, informs the release.

Prior to Star, Subhasis has worked in the HR functions at Prudential ICICI, AMC Limited and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals limited.
