NEW DELHI: The Women and Child Development Ministry has described the efforts being made by actor Aamir Khan in the campaign against malnutrition as "laudable and highly appreciated".
In a statement, the Ministry has denied as "factually incorrect and a misrepresentation" media reports about Khan?s role in the Information Education & Communication (IEC) campaign against malnutrition, stating "Aamir Khan puts the Government on hold".
The Ministry said Khan is a valued personality and a key figure in this campaign against malnutrition and has been providing his services without charging any money from Government for the noble cause.
Khan had got involved with the cause while making his series ?Satyamev Jayate? for Star Plus which was simulcast on Doordarshan.
MUMBAI: IEC in Sports, a subsidiary of Lagard?re Unlimited, has been mandated with the distribution of worldwide media rights for the Swiss Football League.
The deal widens IEC?s ambit which currently serves as the official host broadcaster for the top-tier of Swiss soccer since 2009.
As part of the deal, IEC will deliver a total of 180 matches per season across multiple media platforms starting 2012-2013 season with focus being taking the league to non-traditional markets.
The new long term deal will focus on exploiting all technologies to expand the League?s scope beyond traditional TV exposure.

We are confident that we have the tools and the vision to deliver unprecedented exposure, in particular thanks to our creative, and now recognized, approach towards new media,? said IEC in Sports CEO Daniel Franck.
Next season of SFL kicks off in the weekend of 14-15 July, with IEC producing all matches in HD.
