WorldWide Media pushes into TV content creation

MUMBAI: BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment & Games has launched version 2.0 of Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution, which is now available for free on iOS, Amazon Appstore and the Google Play Store, for the first time.
Players will experience upwards of 50 per cent more content since the game?s original June launch. New content includes social features with Facebook Connect, ?Stig Trials? and an enhanced rewards system. Consumers using Google Play have access to a special ?Pro? version for 99 cents, which gets them on the road with 300 permits to attempt stunts without having to wait for energy to replenish.

Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution introduces Facebook Connect, which allows players to go head to head and challenge Facebook friends to see who has the best driving skills, in turn unlocking new cars and stunts. The Stig ups the ante with ?Stig Trials?, offering players hints on how to beat a stunt, and even performing the stunt himself if it proves too difficult. Players will also notice a more generous and exciting rewards systems with more frequent daily rewards and a ?Prize Wheel?, to spin for a chance to unlock new car parts, coins, permits and vehicles.
Developed by BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment & Games and Supersonic, Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution lets players customise cars to the extreme with jet engines, bulldozer shovels, snow plows and more. A follow-up to the successful Top Gear: Stunt School, the new game delivers fans more over-the-top tracks, stunts and cars for racing in true Top Gear fashion.
MUMBAI: BBC Worldwide Australasia has unveiled a new partnership with the Nine Network which will see the motoring entertainment show ?Top Gear? premiere on Foxtel?s BBC Knowledge before being transmitted on Nine and on GO!.
Under this new arrangement, BBC Knowledge will be the first Australian channel to screen the new series of Top Gear, bringing the program to subscription TV viewers in a consistent slot and only days after the UK transmission.
Nine Network viewers can enjoy the new shows shortly after their BBC Knowledge premieres. Once it has transmitted on the Nine Network, Top Gear will be available for catch up on Nine MSN and topgear.com/au, on DVD from Roadshow Entertainment and for download to own.
Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond and The Stig will have their BBC Knowledge premiere with Series 19 in the new year and some exciting one-off specials.
The deal was negotiated by BBC Worldwide Director of Sales Julie Dowding who said, "This is a significant deal for BBC Worldwide Australasia and for Australian Top Gear fans. MUMBAI: English entertainment channel BBC Entertainment?s car show ?Top Gear? will air a special on 1 February at 11 pm.
In the special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to boost the British economy by embarking on a trade mission to India. Equipped with classic British cars - a Rolls Royce, Mini Cooper and a Jaguar - they set off on an epic road trip across India, devotedly promoting Britain with distinctly mixed results.
Their Indian adventure starts in Mumbai where they give the local dabbawallas a hand at delivering lunch boxes. Will Mumbai traffic get the best of them? The verdict lies in the hands of the dabbawallas.
Next stop is Jaipur, where the boys host a rally to test the mettle of Indian vehicles against their British wares. From a tuk-tuk or auto-rickshaw, to a Nano, an elephant and even the local policemen, the Jaipur dash has a array of racers all set to win the inaugural Top Gear India Hill Speed Climb Event. In Delhi, the boys host a gala with the who?s-who of town in attendance.
In typical ?Top Gear? fashion, nothing goes as per plan! With their trade mission going downhill, the boys head uphill to the mountains of Simla. Will the boys finally get lucky and accomplish what they?ve set out to do? A game of ?Straight Six Cricket?, a reinvention of cricket by Jeremy, might do the trick!
