MUMBAI: Veteran filmmaker Mrinal Sen, who turned 90 recently, will don the director‘s hat once again.
The director, who gave us films like Neel Akasher Neechey, Bhuvan Shome, Khandhar, Bhuvan Shome, Kolkata Trilogy and Aakaler Sandhane, has reportedly approached Naseeruddin Shah and Soumitra Chatterjee to star in his next yet untitled film, a sci-fi comedy.
While Shah’s dialogues will be in English and Hindi, that of Chatterjee will be in English and Bengali.
Interestingly, three of Sen’s films -- Bhuvan Shome, Kolkata Trilogy and Akaler Sandhane --- are to be restored by Martin Scorsese’s film restoration outfit, The Film Foundation.
