MUMBAI: Sanjay Mishra, whose acts in films like Toonpur Ka Superrhero, Phas Gaye Re Obama, Golmaal 3 and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? has regaled audiences, is set to wear the directors hat in the soon-to-be launched Pranam-Walekum.
Pranam represent Hindu culture while Walekum notifies Muslim culture. With the film, Mishra wants to bridge the Hindu-Muslim amity; he wants to show some true facts that glorifies friendship among the two communities.
As the title suggests, Pranam - Walekum, with its tongue in cheek humor, takes a funny and satirical poke at religious tolerance and intolerance in India. Asked about choosing this unusual title, producer Sandiip reasons, "This is because it is an unusual story woven around a usual subject".
Pranam Walekum, produced under the banner of Promodome Films, is set to go on floors from the second week of August.
