MUMBAI: Cargill’s oils business in India today announced the appointment of Subin Sivan as the marketing head, effective immediately. Sivan brings to Cargill, more than 18 years of rich experience in marketing and will work closely with the team in their endeavor to propel the company’s brands to the next level.
Commenting on his appointment, Cargill’s oils business in India managing director Piyush Patnaik said, "We are delighted to have Sivan in the Cargill family. His immense experience in the field of marketing across renowned consumer organisations and deep understanding of consumers and markets in categories similar to ours will be a great asset for us. Sivan joins Cargill India from Vodafone where his last assignment was as VP marketing, leading the high-value consumer segment and the youth segment. Across his career, Sivan has also worked with leading organisations such as General Mills India Limited, Bunge India Limited, Colgate-Palmolive Ltd, Dabur Group, and UB Group Ltd. He has worked extensively on the creation and nurturing of brands such as Colgate, Pillsbury, Dabur RED, Vatika, and Vodafone Postpaid. He has a wealth of experience in managing packaged food categories such as chocolate spreads, atta, cake mixes, sweet snacks, and refined oils.
An alumnus of TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal and Loyola College, he comes with strategic expertise in consumer marketing, across industry verticals.
