NGC, Casey Affleck, Joaquin Phoenix team up for documentary
MUMBAI: US infotainment broadcaster National Geographic Channel (NGC), Strawhouse and Mary Lisio of Scott Free have joined forces on a landmark television event, a documentary project that examines a person?s life and legacy.
Through documentary footage, home movies, personal testimonials and interviews with friends and family members, this Verit? documentary series celebrates the lives of ordinary people, capturing their final struggles and revealing the lives they lived and the legacies they leave behind.
Through Strawhouse, Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Muller and Casey Affleck are executive producers. Jules Daly will produce and David Zucker and Mary Lisio of Scott Free will executive produce, with Oscar-winning documentary filmmakers Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin ?Undefeated? also producing.
Affleck said, "We are excited about this partnership with Scott Free and National Geographic Channel, and grateful for the opportunity to work with Dan and T.J. We hope the show will serve the subjects and reveal something special to the audience".

Production on the special will begin this spring, with broadcast set for later this year.
